Day 6: Our waiter reminded me of Lance Armstrong

I'm just going to get this out of the way first: there's something I've  been meaning to tell you all week.  Remember the red back-of-hand that I showed you on Sunday from the Magic Eraser?  Yeah, well it's not exactly red anymore, but it's still bumpy and rough.  So PSA, folks, don't use those things on your skin.

When I got home from the gym yesterday, lovely, wonderful, thoughtful Derek suggested that I might not feel like cooking and that we could explore going out for dinner.  I hadn't even realized that I didn't want to cook until he mentioned it.  What a great guy :)

We decided on Cocina Del Barrio at 50th and France.  Neither of us had been there before, so adventure time!

We passed Damon on his bike on the way down there, so we pulled over at his house to invite him (after whistling out the window at him, obviously.)  A short while later, we had Damon in the car with us and were off to the restaurant.

Like fate.

It's a neat place.  They do a tapas kind of thing.  There are four tacos on the menu.  I was originally thinking I'd do one taco and then, like, a salad or something, but all of us ended up eating just tacos.

They were mighty good.  The picture I took of them isn't, really.  It was dark in there.  The light is coming from Derek's phone, just like professionals use.

Pictured here are the three that I had.  Clockwise from the top,  Skirt Steak Taco Al Carbon, Fried Mahi-Mahi Taco, and Grilled Shrimp Taco.  I think the shrimp one was my favorite, although they all had their own distinct flavor.

Oh, no!  I'm looking at the time, and I kind of need to go get ready for the gym now!  That means I can't write down every little detail of my day or every little thing I'm thinking about.  I'm quite sure that I'm the only one bummed about that, nevertheless, I'm very sorry, kids.  I'm sure there'll be a much longer blog again in the near future.

Til next time!
